    There are three kinds of goals: short-term,medium-range and long-term goals. Short-range goals are those that usually dealwith current activities,which we can apply on a daily basis.Such goals can beachieved in a week or less,or two weeks,or possible months.It should beremembered that just as a building is no stronger than its foundation, outlong-term goals cannot amount to very munch without the achievement of solidshort-term goals. Passage Two

The economy of the United statesafter 1952 was the economy of a well-fed,almost fully employed people. Despiteoccasional alarms, the country escaped any postwar depression and lived in astate of boom. Passage Three

Women are also underrepresented inthe administration and this is because there are so few women full professors.In 1985,Regent Beryl Milburn produced a report blasting the University of TexasSystem administration for not encouraging women.The University was rated amongthe lowest for the system.
